I've been meaning to ask: in "If There's Time", excerpt from what song did they use? I don't know/recognize the language or the meaning of what the female voice is signing about (sounds Asian), but if anyone knows, I'd be eternally grateful 🙏🏻
The tune is stuck in my head and I always sing along..but I sing complete gibberish. It'd be nice to not sound like an idiot

Yes that is right Nikhil. And if anyone cares to listen to the track I speak of"Innocente", try (mr sams the space between us remix) and it is more clear how my crazy brain relates that sound.

Ellie, If you are talking about the Intro track then it was on Summers Gone album.

If genuinely loving good music (and showing great interest in it) is crazy..then yes, by all means you're crazy.. So am I. And so is everyone else here 😜

Gavin, that's some intense brainstorming.. But i like it! And, given what they did with "Make me feel better" (by Alex Adair originally), you are making a valid point - they change sounds and elements of songs in a way that makes any tune an "ODESZA tune". Plus, they gave us a "fair warning" in their In Return Intro - "...by these means and many others, you can CREATE sound which no one has ever heard before". ...I love them.

I was into trance back in the late 90s and I feel like I hear some samples from tracks that they have sped up a voice to change the pitch a tad but then slowed down and chopped it at the same time (if that even makes sense) to create some of their sounds. Specifically on "Don't Stop" at 1:00 and 2:00 into the song it sounds like it could be a flute or other similar wind instrument but I think it's the woman's voice from Delerium's Innocente when she sings the word "Darling". I could be dead wrong but the first time I heard it I immediately referenced that woman's voice. So, in my head it goes Dar....Darling Dar....Darling. It would probably been easier to use a flute for that sound but I think all of ODESZA's tracks are super complex

I always make up my own lyrics to their songs. It's whatever it sounds like to me. At the beginning of the song I hear "hi to me, say hi to me" then I hear "dang, I go hard, she don't give a damn I go hard she don't care" but that's definitely not what she's saying. whatever it is it sounds dope

It's so hard. It's so hard. Odesza listens to too many different music genres and No Sleep mixes is a testimony to that. They get these ideas from listening too many different genres and then they create a No Sleep mix and most probably put that idea into their new music.

My 2nd or 3rd post on this App was about asking the lyrics for few Odesza songs which I had and still have no idea about the lyrics so I find it funny to see your comment.
