also, the female voice that repetitively cries what sounds like, "Ah hoo I" throughout "Boy"! chilling and hauntingly beautiful.

thank you for responding. I saw a live performance on YouTube where Leon holds the mic out to the audience and they respond with the vocals I'm referring to. he does it throughout the song so somehow those concert goers knew those lyrics! now I wanna know, too - because I'm in absolute love with the piece!🤪😂🤩

not sure if there's any info on that. but i feel like the female-sounding vocals on Across the Room are likely just Leon's vocals pitched up a few octaves
